The Slack action allows you to automatically send notifications from CrocoClick to inform your team in real time when an important event occurs.
You can send messages:
to a Slack user (private message/DM),
to a public channel,
in a private channel.
This is particularly useful for notifying the arrival of a lead, a change in opportunity status, a payment received, or any action requiring a quick response.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
An active Slack workspace.
The necessary rights to connect an application to Slack.
Access to Automations → Workflows in CrocoClick.
Depending on your plan, the Slack action may be a Premium feature.
Step 1: Connect Slack to CrocoClick
Go to Settings → Integrations.
Open Slack.
Click Connect.
Authorize CrocoClick to access your Slack workspace.
Once authorization is confirmed, the Slack integration will appear as Connected.
Step 2: Add the Slack action to an automation
Open an existing automation or create a new one.
Click Add Action.
Search for Slack.
Choose the type of message to send:
Private message (DM)
Message in a public channel
Message in a private channel
Send a private message (DM) to a user
Choose the user's source
Depending on your configuration, you can send a DM to:
The user assigned to the contact (useful for assigned leads).
An internal user from your team.
A Slack user selected directly.
A personalized email, if you want to dynamically route the notification.
Write the message
Write the content of the message.
Use CrocoClick variables to make the message actionable.
Example:
Nouveau lead : {{contact.name}} ({{contact.phone}}) Source : {{source}} Étape : {{pipeline.stage}} Once configured, save the action.
Send a message in a Slack channel
Public or private channel
Select Public Channel or Private Channel.
Choose the target channel.
Write the message.
Save the action.
💡 For private channels, make sure the Slack app is authorized to access the channel.
If necessary, add the app to the channel directly from Slack.
Best practices
Keep messages short and action-oriented.
Add a direct link to the contact or opportunity if a variable allows it.
Avoid spam:
Add filters to your automations.
Group notifications together if necessary.
Use Slack for alerts, not to replace CRM.
Troubleshooting
No messages are arriving in Slack
Check that the Slack integration is connected.
Verify that the automation is published.
Verify that the selected channel exists and is accessible.
For DMs, verify that the user source is correctly resolved.
Private channel not found
The private channel must authorize the Slack app.
Add the app to the channel or adjust permissions on the Slack side.
