The Asana integration connects CrocoClick to Asana to automate the creation and updating of tasks or projects, and to trigger CrocoClick automations from Asana events.

This integration is mainly used to synchronize sales tracking with operational execution.

Typical use cases

  • Automatically create an Asana task when a lead becomes an opportunity.

  • Trigger an Asana project when a sale is won.

  • Update the status of an Asana task when the opportunity changes stages.

  • Align sales and operations teams without manual input.

Connect to Asana

To connect Asana to CrocoClick:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.

  2. Select Asana.

  3. Click Connect and authorize access.

  4. Select the Asana workspace to use.

The connection can also be made directly when creating an automation using Asana.

Automation example: Creating an "Onboarding" task

Objective
Automatically create an Asana task when an opportunity is won.

Configuration

  • Trigger
Opportunity moved to Won status in CrocoClick.

  • Actions

    • Create an Asana task called "Customer Onboarding."

    • Assign the task to a team member.

    • Set a due date.

    • Add a checklist or instructions via a comment.

Result: Each sale automatically triggers a clear, assigned task in Asana, without any manual action.

Troubleshooting

I can't see my Asana projects

  • Verify that the connected Asana account has access to the projects.

  • Verify that authorization has not been revoked in Asana.

  • Reconnect the integration if necessary.

Duplicate tasks are being created

  • Add a search step before creating the task.

  • Use a unique key in the name or description (e.g., contact or opportunity ID).

Best practices

  • Use Asana for execution and CrocoClick for business logic.

  • Centralize triggering on the CrocoClick side.

  • Avoid creating tasks without a uniqueness rule.

  • Document your critical automations.
