Heading tags (H1, H2, H3...) play a crucial role in the structure of your pages, whether for search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility, or the readability of your content. In this article, we’ll show you how to easily edit them in your CrocoClick pages and funnels.

1. What is a heading tag?

Heading tags are used to organize the content of a page into a hierarchy.

  • H1: the page’s main title (it must be unique)

  • H2, H3, etc.: section and subsection titles

These tags make it easier for your visitors to read and help search engines understand the structure of your content.

2. Why use the right tags?

Using the appropriate heading tags allows you to:

  • Improve your search engine optimization (SEO)

  • Organize your pages in a clear and readable way

  • Create a consistent visual hierarchy

  • Ensure better accessibility (screen readers)

  • Ensure proper display on mobile and desktop

3. How do I edit a title tag in CrocoClick?

Step 1: Open the page in the editor

  1. Go to Sites > Funnels or Sites > Websites

  2. Click on the relevant site or funnel

  3. Select the step or page you want to edit

  4. Click the blue Edit Page button

Step 2: Edit the tag

  1. Click on the title text you want to edit

  2. A formatting bar appears

  3. Click the dropdown menu for headings (H1, H2, H3...)

  4. Select the desired heading

4. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use multiple H1 tags?

→ Technically yes, but it’s not recommended. A single H1 tag per page provides better clarity and optimized SEO.

Why don’t I see the heading option?

→ Make sure you’re editing a heading and not plain text. The formatting bar only appears for headings.

Does changing a tag alter the visual appearance?

→ Not always. The visual style can be customized via CSS. What matters is the tag itself (H1-H6) to structure the page and aid SEO.

Are the tags mobile-friendly?

→ Yes. You can preview and adjust the display by device in the page editor.
