The Workflow Selector allows you to switch between workflows without leaving the advanced builder.

Each workflow opens in a new tab, allowing you to compare, copy, or edit multiple automations in parallel—ideal for reusing your templates and speeding up your creations.

💡 Overview

The Selector helps you:

  • Navigate faster: open your recent workflows or search for them by name directly from the sidebar.

  • Maintain context: each selection opens in a new tab, without closing your current canvas.

  • Save time: Copy and paste entire steps or branches between workflows to build faster.

💡 Example: You have a "Welcome Email" workflow and another "Abandoned Cart Follow-up" workflow.

With the Selector, you can open both at the same time, copy the "Thank you for signing up" sequence, and paste it into the other workflow—without leaving the page.

That's right, actions can be copied from one automation and pasted into another!

🔐 How to access the automation selector

Where to find it:

  • In the Advanced Builder, open the left sidebar, then click on the Workflow Selector button.

Keyboard shortcut:

  • Press Shift + W to open or close the panel.

🗂️ The Selector Panel

  • Recent Automations: A drop-down list shows your most recent workflows. Just click to reopen them.

  • Quick Search: Type the name of the workflow you are looking for. The results are instantly displayed in the list.

Example: You're looking for "Newsletter Automation." Type "news" and CrocoClick will display all matching workflows.

🧭 How to use it (step by step)

  1. Open your automation in the Advanced Builder.

  2. Click on the Workflow Selector (or use the shortcut Shift + W).

  3. Search for a workflow automation by name or select one from the Recent section.

  4. Click on it to open it—it will open in a new browser tab.

  5. Continue your work: copy, paste, or compare branches between tabs.

Real-world example: You want to harmonize your onboarding and follow-up sequences. Open both workflows side by side, compare their timelines, and adjust messages in real time.

💡 Tips & Best Practices

  • Compare side by side: Keep your source workflow in one tab and the target workflow in another. Copy templates, structures, or logic without wasting time.

  • Name your workflows clearly: Use explicit names such as "🔥 Onboarding - Email Day 1" or "💰 Follow-up - Day 3 - Special Offer." This will make it easier to search for them in the Selector.

  • Optimize your tags: Add tags to your automations such as email, sales, reminder to quickly filter your workflows in the search.

🧩 Additional notes

  • Exclusive feature of the Advanced Builder: the Selector is only accessible in the sidebar of this mode.

  • Multi-tab opening: each selected workflow opens in a new tab, leaving your current canvas intact.

  • Perfect compatibility with copy/paste: select an entire branch in one tab, copy it (Ctrl/Cmd + C), and paste it (Ctrl/Cmd + V) into another.

Example: You are working on the sales sequence for a webinar. You copy a "24-hour reminder" section from another workflow and paste it directly into the current one. The result: perfect consistency, without duplicating content.
