A One-Click Upsell (or Order Upsell) allows you to offer a complementary product immediately after an initial purchase, without the customer having to re-enter their payment information.
This feature is available exclusively in Funnels V2, using native CrocoClick forms.
It is designed to increase the average cart value while maintaining a smooth, frictionless shopping experience.
What is a One-Click Upsell?
A One-Click Upsell is an additional offer presented after an order is confirmed, at a new stage of the funnel.
Here’s how it works:
The customer purchases a product via a One-Step Order or Two-Step Order.
The payment is confirmed and secured.
The funnel automatically redirects to the next step.
This step presents a complementary offer.
With a single click, the customer accepts the upsell without having to re-enter their information.
Payment is processed instantly using the payment method already selected. This mechanism capitalizes on the moment when purchase intent is at its peak, while eliminating any unnecessary friction.
Key Benefits of the One-Click Upsell
The One-Click Upsell is one of the most effective ways to increase the value of a funnel.
Why use it?
Increased average cart value: You present a relevant offer at the most opportune moment.
Seamless shopping experience: No new forms, no need to re-enter payment details.
Compatibility with multiple product types: Works with standard products and bump products.
Support for major payment gateways: Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.net, NMI, and approved providers.
Reusable forms: The same form can be used across multiple funnels.
Precise automations: Every purchase (main product or upsell) triggers the "Order Submitted" event, enabling precise targeting in automations.
One-Step Order and Two-Step Order: Role in Upselling
The One-Click Upsell always relies on a valid initial order.
One Step Order
Collects information and payment in a single step.
Immediately redirects to the upsell step after validation.
Two-Step Order
Step 1: Customer information.
Step 2: Payment.
Automatically redirects to the upsell page after payment.
Both work perfectly with upsells.
Upsell Button Configuration
The upsell button is the trigger for one-click payment.
Recommended configuration
Add a button to the upsell step.
Set the button action to One-Click Upsell / Downsell.
Select the product offered for upsell (previously added in the “Product” tab of the funnel step)
When the customer clicks:
payment is processed immediately,
the order is added to the order history,
the funnel can proceed to the next step.
Order Summary Element
The Order Summary clearly displays what the customer has purchased.
It can be added to the final thank-you page.
It displays:
The main product.
Any accepted upsells.
The overall order details.
Best practices for integration into a funnel
To ensure reliable operation of the One-Click Upsell, follow these guidelines:
Use only CrocoClick funnels.
Clearly separate:
the order stage,
the upsell step,
the confirmation step.
Offer only one upsell per stage to keep the decision simple.
Keep all steps on the same domain.
Check product availability if inventory management is enabled.
