The Google Contacts integration allows you to automate the creation, updating, and organization of contacts in Google Contacts from CrocoClick events, and to trigger CrocoClick automations when a contact or group appears in Google Contacts.
It is useful for keeping your CrocoClick CRM and Google ecosystem easily synchronized.
What it's used for
Automatically create Google contacts after a form, appointment, or sale.
Update a Google contact when the CrocoClick contact record is modified.
Organize and segment contacts into Google Contacts groups.
Use Google Contacts as a synchronized address book with other Google tools.
Google Contacts triggers
Google Contacts → CrocoClick Automations
Triggers allow you to launch a CrocoClick automation when an event occurs in Google Contacts.
Available triggers
⚠️ Contact-related triggers rely on regular checks (polling).
A slight delay before triggering is therefore normal.
Google Contacts actions
CrocoClick → Google Contacts automations
Actions allow CrocoClick to create, update, or organize contacts in Google Contacts.
Available actions
Google Contacts connection
Google Contacts uses the Google login for your CrocoClick account.
From an automation
Open Automations → Workflows.
Add a Google Contacts trigger or action.
If Google is not connected, click Connect.
Select the Google account and authorize access.
From integrations
Go to Settings → Integrations.
Open Google Contacts.
Connect the desired Google account or verify that it is already connected.
Common automation scenarios
After making an appointment
Trigger
Appointment created in CrocoClick.
Actions
Search for the contact in Google Contacts.
Create the contact if it does not exist.
Add the contact to the Appointments group.
After form submission
Trigger CrocoClick
form submitted.
Actions
Create a Google contact.
Add tags or segments on the CrocoClick side.
Add the contact to the Leads group in Google Contacts.
Troubleshooting
The trigger does not launch
Check that the automation is published.
Check that a contact or group has been created on the Google Contacts side.
Wait a few minutes (polling operation).
Actions are failing
Check that the connected Google account still has permissions.
Disconnect and then reconnect the Google account if necessary.
Check that the required fields (email, name) have been filled in.
Best practices
Use Google Contacts as a synchronized directory, not as your primary CRM.
Standardize data (email, phone number) before creation to avoid duplicates.
Create clear and stable groups for segmentation.
Test each automation with a real contact before deployment.
