Linear is a tracking tool used by product and technical teams to plan, manage, and deliver their work: bugs, feature requests, and projects. The Linear integration directly connects your CRM, customer requests, and CrocoClick automations to Linear.
Specifically, your automations can create, update, search for, and enrich Linear records without needing a custom webhook. You can turn customer feedback into a concrete product task, notify the customer when their issue is resolved, and keep your records synchronized between CrocoClick and Linear.
Key Benefits
Closed-loop feedback: Capture your customers’ bug reports and feature requests as issues or customer needs in Linear, then notify the person who submitted the report once the work is complete.
Value-Based Prioritization: Link customer needs to Linear customer profiles so the product team can measure the volume of requests by customer, tier, or account importance.
Real-time technical visibility: Use updates to Linear issues, projects, customer needs, and initiatives to trigger internal or customer notifications.
Two-way customer context: Attach the CRM record URL to a Linear issue so the technical team can find the associated contact, company, conversation, or opportunity with a single click.
Native automation: Connect Linear via OAuth and configure triggers and actions directly in the automation builder, without having to manage permanent API tokens or webhooks.
Comprehensive coverage: issues, comments, projects, customers, customer needs, initiatives, and documents are supported.
Linear Triggers and Actions
Triggers start an automation when an event occurs in Linear. Actions allow an automation to create, update, search for, or enrich data in Linear. Use a trigger when Linear is the starting point, and an action when an activity in CrocoClick needs to create or modify work produced in Linear.
💡 TIP: All Linear triggers are instantaneous and rely on Linear’s webhooks. They fire as soon as the corresponding event occurs, with no verification delay.

Use Case
From a bug reported by a customer to a Linear issue
Start with a form submission, an incoming conversation, or a support workflow to create a Linear issue enriched with customer context.
Trigger the automation when a customer submits a bug report or a feature request.
Search for the corresponding Linear customer record by name or domain.
Create a Linear issue with the details of the report, the contact context, the priority, and the labels.
Attach the URL of the CrocoClick CRM record to the issue.
Create a customer requirement linked to the customer record and the issue.
From Resolved Issue to Customer Notification
Use a status change in Linear to notify the customer who submitted the report once the work is complete.
Use the “Issue Updated” trigger.
Filter for issues with the status “Completed.”
Add a label filter, such as a label indicating a customer report.
Retrieve the issue’s updated details.
Send a personalized email or text message to the person who filed the report.
How to Connect Linear
Connecting Linear before building your automation allows CrocoClick to securely read from and write to the authorized Linear workspace. Once the connection is set up, each trigger or action still needs to be configured with the correct team, project, issue, label, client, or field mapping.
Option 1: From the automation builder
Go to Automation, then Automations.
Open an existing automation or create a new one.
Add a Linear trigger or action.
Select the desired trigger or action.
Click “Connect.”
Sign in to your Linear account via OAuth.
Authorize the workspace and team(s) that the integration needs to access.
Click "Save."
Continue configuring the selected trigger or action.
Option 2: From Settings
Go to Settings, then Integrations. Find Linear in the list and click “Connect.”
Sign in to your Linear account via OAuth.
Authorize the workspace.
Save the connection.
Return to the automation builder to configure your Linear triggers and actions.
🟢 Important: Linear triggers and actions are premium components and consume premium action credits at the standard automation rate.
