The Basecamp integration allows you to connect CrocoClick to Basecamp in order to automate the creation of project elements (messages, to-dos, events) and trigger CrocoClick automations from Basecamp activities.

This integration is used to link sales management in CrocoClick with project management and execution in Basecamp.

Typical use cases

  • Automatically create a Basecamp project when a sale is won.

  • Add to-dos or template task lists for each new customer.

  • Notify the Basecamp team when an appointment is scheduled.

  • Synchronize customer progress without manual entry.

Connect to Basecamp

To connect Basecamp to CrocoClick:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.

  2. Select Basecamp.

  3. Click Connect and authorize access.

  4. Select the project or destination when configuring actions.

The connection can also be made directly when creating an automation using Basecamp.

Automation example: creating a client project

Objective
Automatically create a Basecamp project when a sale is won.

Configuration

  • Trigger
Opportunity changed to Won status in CrocoClick.

  • Actions

    • Create a Basecamp project in the client's name.

    • Create an "Onboarding" to-do list.

    • Add standard to-dos (kick-off, access, delivery).

    • Post a message with instructions for the team.

Result: each new client immediately has a structured project space in Basecamp.

Best practices

  • Use a stable identifier (opportunity ID, standardized customer name) to avoid duplicates.

  • Add a research stage before a creation stage if automation can be restarted.

  • Centralize business logic in CrocoClick and execution in Basecamp.

  • Document critical automations.

Troubleshooting

I can't see Basecamp projects

  • Verify that the logged-in Basecamp user has access to the projects.

  • Verify that the integration is still authorized in Basecamp.

  • Reconnect the integration if necessary.
