Certificates are a great way to recognize your students and celebrate their achievements.
In CrocoClick, you can easily create your own certificate templates, either from an existing template or from scratch.
Where can you find the certificate creation tool?
Go to Subscriptions > Certificates.
Click on "New Template" to get started.
Step 1 – Create a new template
You have two options:
🧱 1. Use an existing template
Select a predefined template from the gallery.
Click "Confirm" to edit it as you wish.
📝 2. Create a blank template
Click on "Blank Template" to create a 100% customized certificate.
Step 2 – Customize the certificate
You can add several types of elements to your certificate. Let's take a look at them together:
🧭 1. Layout
Click on "Layout" to choose between:
Portrait (vertical)
Landscape (horizontal)
Select a decorative frame if you wish.
⚠️ WARNING: Changing the format resets the design
🎨 2. Background
Click on "Background":
Choose a solid color
Or upload a background image
Adjust the transparency
Use a pattern for a unique design
🧾 3. Text
Drag a "Text" block into your certificate.
Customize font, size, color, alignment, etc.
Resize and move the text area freely.
💡TIP: You can use custom values in text and header blocks. See the section "Using custom values in your certificates" further down in this article.
🏷 4. Header (= Title)
Add a header for an impactful title (e.g., "Certificate of Achievement").
Ideal for creating a visual hierarchy.
🖼 5. Image
Drag and drop an image (logo, illustration, etc.).
Upload from your device or paste a URL.
🏅 6. Badge
Add a graphic badge (e.g., "100% Complete," "Officially Validated").
Choose from the styles available.
✍️ 7. Signature
Add a signature to make the certificate more personal.
Several styles are available.
You can add several (e.g., "Head of Education," "CEO," etc.).
👁️🗨️ Step 3 – Preview and save
Click on "Preview" to see the final result.
Give your template a clear name (e.g., 2025 Course Completion Certificate).
Click on "Save."
Your certificate is now available in your library.
You can attach it to any training course or category.
Use custom values in your certificates
CrocoClick now allows you to insert dynamic custom fields directly into your certificate templates.
🎯 Why this is powerful
Previously, you could only insert standard fields such as first name, last name, or course name.
But now, you can also integrate any custom data stored in the contact file.
For example:
Level of expertise
Company name
Subject area
Final score, special badge, custom date, etc.
🛠️ How to insert them
Click on a text block in your certificate.
At the top, click on { } Custom values.
You will see 4 categories:
Contact (name, email, etc.)
User (internal)
Membership (course name, end date, etc.)
Right Now (today's date)
Custom values (your own fields)
Type the name of the custom field or select it from the list.
→ It will be displayed as{{ contact.nom_du_champ }}
Result: each student will have a completely unique certificate personalized according to their data.
⚠️ Best practices
Test the display using the preview before publishing.
Check that the fields are filled in for each contact (otherwise they will be empty in the PDF).
Use clear and consistent field names in the CRM section of CrocoClick.
FAQ – Frequently asked questions
Can I use several different templates?
Yes. You can create as many templates as you want, depending on your needs (basic certificate, distinction certificate, by theme, by category, etc.).
Does my certificate automatically adapt to the names of the students?
Yes. Dynamic variables such as First Name, Last Name, Training, or Course Module Name are automatically replaced if you have inserted them using custom values.
Can I download a PDF certificate to test it?
Yes. From the preview, you can see the result and export it as a PDF for testing purposes.
