One of the best ways to boost sales is through engagement on social media.
Organic engagement on social media is particularly valuable because it clearly shows that the customer is interested in your services.
Of course, you don't have all day to check your Facebook and respond to messages, so why not automate it?
By using this feature, you can ensure you don't miss any follow-up opportunities.
Before you begin, check that your Facebook account is integrated and, for Instagram, make sure the icon is colored (see the "how to integrate my social networks" article).
Use a ready-made template
Before diving into the detailed steps, note that CrocoClick offers a ready-to-use automation template that you can customize directly.
This allows you to speed up the setup process and quickly take advantage of automation without starting from scratch.

1. Use the "How We Post" trigger
a) Add the trigger
Let's start with the "How We Post" trigger. You can add it for Facebook and/or Instagram.

b) Edit the filters
The second step is to select the page, then select the type of post.
There are two types of posts: Published post, which includes all posts on your page, and Custom Post, which retrieves posts based on the Meta URL or ID.

Next, you can add the Post is filter to select a specific post.

You can also choose the "Contains Phrase" or "Exact Match" filters.
💡TIP: This filter is ideal if you only want to trigger automation when a certain word or phrase is written in the comments. Be careful to choose a word that is not commonly used to avoid inadvertently triggering automation. For example, you can choose "Contains Phrase: CROCO25."
Contains Phrase will search for comments that contain the desired phrase at any point in the message, while Exact Match will only trigger the automation if the message contains the exact text you entered.

💡TIP: Please note that if you do not select a filter, your automation will trigger as soon as a comment is added to any of your posts, regardless of which post it is.
c) Additional option
You can also enable the button that only tracks the first levels of comments. If you enable it, only the first level of comments will trigger the automation.

If the person interacts with your page for the first time, they will be registered as a contact, with their first and last name.
2) Set up the automatic reply to comments
Select the Reply in Comments action to respond to comments.
You can program several responses, and the system will select which one to use at random.
You can also enable the option to automatically like the comment.

3. Configure the "Interactive Messenger" action to send a DM
a) Add the action
Select the Interactive Messenger action to send a private message to contacts after they have interacted with your Facebook/Instagram page.

b) Select the reply type.
This can be Reply to comment via DM to reply via DM to a comment on a post (this is the case for this automation) or Reply to DM to send a reply to a private message sent by one of your prospects.
Logically, to continue replying to messages via DM, any reply after the first Reply to comment via DM will be a Reply to DM.

c) Configure the message to be sent
After selecting the Reply Type, you must configure the message to be sent.
You can write your message or choose one from your templates.
You can also add attachments to your message or upload files by entering a URL.

d) Add buttons (optional)
You can also add buttons to your messages.
You can configure the button to redirect the contact to your website or calendar, give them your number for calls, or perform a subsequent action in the automation.
The button names will be displayed as options for the customer, and the wait step tells the system how long to wait for the customer's response before moving them to the default branch if they have not clicked on any button.

Once the action is added, you will see a branch for each button you added and the default branch (Default Timeout), so you can add the following actions.

Send an automatic private message after receiving a comment
You can send a private Messenger/Instagram message after the contact has commented on your post with the trigger word.

Select from your templates or write the message you want to send directly, and add any attachments by uploading them or adding their URL.

Conclusion
Now you have the basics of how to use the system to respond to your customers via Facebook and Instagram. We hope this will help you boost engagement, brand awareness, and sales!
