Why won't my CrocoClick page open or work? 3 main culprits 🙀

If your page is loading indefinitely, or you're having problems with interactivity, here are some common causes and potential solutions.

If a CrocoClick page won't open, seems to be loading indefinitely, or if certain buttons or features aren't working, this may be due to your browser settings.

Here are the most common reasons and solutions to try so you can access your pages without interruption.

1. Browser Cache - 50% of cases

Problem:

The browser cache stores temporary information from websites to speed up page loading, but it can sometimes prevent certain pages from loading properly.

Solution:

To check if the cache is causing the page to display incompletely, try one of the following options:

  • Incognito mode: Open the page in incognito mode to see if it displays correctly.

  • Switch browsers: Try opening the page in a different browser.

  • Try a different device: If possible, open the page on another computer or device.

If any of these methods work, it likely indicates that your browser cache or one of your extensions is causing the issue. In this case, clearing your browser cache should be enough to restore normal display.

To do this, here is an article that details the steps to follow depending on your browser: https://www.proservices-informatique.fr/vider-cache-navigateur-internet/

2. Google Translate - 40% of cases

Problem:

When your browser tries to “translate” from French to French, it causes bugs (corrupted tags, missing text, etc.).

Here’s what happens from a technical standpoint:

  • The translation scripts inject what are called “HTML/CSS wrappers,” which interfere with our code.

  • Even though the content remains in French, the tool re-converts key elements and, in doing so, can “break” them.

This is particularly the case with Google Translate, which attempts to translate the CrocoClick interface even though it is ALREADY in French.

Solution:

The solution is simple: just disable automatic translation for CrocoClick and pro.crococlick.com

If you use Google Chrome...

  • Go to a page on the CrocoClick platform

  • Click the translation icon in the address bar (the "文" or "A" symbol)

  • Select “Always - do not translate pages from pro.crococlick.com”

If you use another browser (Firefox, Edge, etc.)...

  • If you use a translation extension (e.g., Google Translate, ImTranslator), go to its menu and add crococlick.com and pro.crococlick.com to the list of excluded sites.

  • If you use Google as your default browser, follow the same steps as if you were using Google Chrome...

3. A Browser Extension - 9% of cases

Issue:

Certain browser extensions may interfere with CrocoClick’s proper functioning.

If you have cleared your browser cache and the problem persists in "normal" browsing BUT the problem disappears when you use one of the methods mentioned above (incognito mode, switching browsers, switching computers), then it is likely an extension issue.

This is often the case with the following extensions:

  • Adblockers: Ad-blocking extensions.

  • VPN: Virtual private network extensions.

  • Antivirus or Web Protection: Online security extensions.

Solution:

If you are using one of these extensions, try temporarily disabling it, then reload the page.

If the display is restored, you can either configure the extension to allow CrocoClick or disable it while using the platform.

Other Issue - 1% of cases

Problem:

In rare cases, display or functionality issues may occur due to more complex and specific reasons.

These may include technical issues on the server, incompatibilities with specific browser versions, or particular network configurations.

Solution:

If you have followed the previous steps (clearing the cache, testing in incognito mode, disabling extensions) and the problem still persists, we recommend contacting CrocoClick support.

Our technical teams will be able to analyze the issue and help you restore optimal access to the platform 😊🐊
